USER STORY - Dr. Justin Yerbury

Dr. Justin Yerbury went to University at age 17. He also played professional basketball in Australia. His Uncle passed away from MND which was his first exposure to MND. Then his cousin was diagnosed with MND at age 21 and passed away in just a few months. He went back to school to get a Doctorate to study science so he could learn more about MND and try to find a cure.

Then in 2002 over a span of six weeks, Justin Yerbury lost his mother, grandmother and aunt to MND. He took the gene test to find out if he had the MND gene and it came back positive. His sister was diagnosed with MND while he was getting his PhD. He has dedicated his life to find a cure for MND. In 2016 Dr. Yerbury was diagnosed with MND and is still diligently working to find a cure. He is able to communicate with family and friends and do his research using his TM5 mini eye tracker. Thank you Dr. Yerbury for sharing your story. You are an inspiration to us all.
